Indian economy is growing rapidly , but energy scarcity is becoming a critical barrier to sustained growth. Sustained growth is a tough task to perform , to grow and on the other hand not harm the nature . It adds burden to the challenge of meeting the energy demands of a rapid growing economy.

The role of renewable energy is very important for any nation to gain sustained development. India initiated it at the end of sixth plan . According to projections in the coming years, penetration level of wind energy will increase and wind power is going to play prominent role. On Feb10' 2010 Spanish wind power equipment major GAMESA's Chennai plant inaugurated , estimated investment is of Rs-6640 Cr.

Thus, one can expect that more is yet to come in this regard . The source of energy is going to shift . Lets hope for a better place to live.
