HOW IMPORTANT IS ETHICS IN BUSINESS???

Ethics is very important not only in business, but also in all other aspects of life.If an organization or a company which lacks ethical principles is bounds to fail soon or later. That means if people are not giving importance for ethics in business they may able to get profit within a very short period of time ,but it will not sustain. And we will not get satisfaction also.Whatever we are doing we should get satisfaction then only we can enjoy the profit getting from that particular business. The two important things essential for the sucesses of an organization is they should be able to retain the existing customers along with new customers. If they wanted to do so they should have customer loyalty.Only one thing can help them to get it,that is ethics. We have a lot of examples like cpmpanies which couldnot give much value for ethics so that they have faced so many problems like sathyam scandal, enron scandal etc.Scandal is a set of alligations which damages the reputation of a company.Sathyam scandal was publically announced at june 7th 2009.Actually they have done some manipulations in their balancesheet to maximise the profit by cheating customers. But customers have found out it.Once an organization lost its reputation or prestige it is very difficult to get it back.So never give a chance to loose it.Profit maximisation is one of the most important objective of a business but as budding managers we should know the importance of ethics.Knowing importance is not so great,we should make it in practical, then only it will be effective.Ethics in business is like two sides of a coin both are equally important. So i believe secret of sucesses of a business is nothing but ethics........

Ethics refers to a code of conduct that guides an individual in dealing with others. Business Ethics is a form of the art of applied ethics that examines ethical principles and moral or ethical problems that can arise in business environment. It deals with issues regarding the moral and ethical rights, duties and corporate governance between a company and its shareholders, employees, customers, media, government, suppliers and dealers. Henry Ford said, "Business that makes noting but money is a poor kind of business".
