CSR by Toyota and Honda

Corporate social responsibility is very important for every company we can see this from the recent activities taken be Toyota and Honda.

Toyota are to recall 3.8 million vehicles in the United States, the company’s largest-ever U.S. recall, to address problems with a removable floor mat that could cause accelerators to get stuck and lead to a crash. .The recall will involve popular models such as the Toyota Camry, the top-selling passenger car in America, and the Toyota Prius, the best-selling gas-electric hybrid. But as for the Honda Motors announced recall of Honda City cars globally to fix a window switch defect, repercussions were felt in India with the company announcing that the recall includes 8,532 units of second-generation City manufactured in India in 2007.

Even when the companies had problems with their respective models, they did not leave people to suffer with these problems, they have ensured the customers that they will replace and fix the problem, as we have seen from the above information.
Both the companies are very big and need not spend their time and effort to fix all the problems but instead they were willing to solve the problems in order to maintain their image and prestige with their customers especially their Brand image. Even if the company is big and well established it doesn’t mean that it need not follow corporate social responsibility, it is their responsibility to ensure that the society and their customers are well satisfied and happy.

Therefore it is the responsibility for each and every company to maintain a sense for corporate social responsibility in them.
