What Make A Good Movie?

Art is the reflection of our society and our life and movies are called the modern expression of art. movies make us laugh, make us cry, make us think, sometime enlighten us. Movies that make us experience all these, we call them good movies . But what make a good movie . a million dollar question isn't it. all right.

some people say that to have a good movie we need a good story and a good script. If so then I wonder why Khaled Hosseini's very popular novel Kite runner when made a movie didn't became a hit.

Technicians contribute to the movies in different ways. They contribute in the form of music, camera, makeup, costume etc. They are the people who work behind the sceens and integral in the making of movies . without their hard work i dont think a movie like Avatar or 2012 would have been possible.

Multistarer movies can just attract us to cinemas. Especially in a country like ours where we have lot of fan following happening. This is one reason why we all have paid for one scrap movie called Om Shanthi Om. This years oscar nominee District 9 proves again that popular stars are not a must for good movies.

I still remember Ashutosh Gowariker telling the reason why he made Amir Khan producer of his movie lagaan. According to him a producer must also be equally passionate about the movie as the director and others are . I too belive in this . Think if james Cameron was asked to cut cost when he was making Titanic or avatar, the entire viewing experiance would have been different isn't it.

captain of the ship , the story teller, what ever we call he is the man, 'Director'. His taste and intrest is reflected in the movies. He can be called the father of his movie. but this father can shape his child according to his liking.

Friends there is a director called majid majidi .He is from iran. He made meny famous movies one among them is 'children of heaven'. This is one movie that made the director in me realize that a good movie is a combination of all the above factors. A good director is a person who bring a fine balance between all this. That is the success chemistry of a wonderful cinematic experiance.
