Management fest

Hello friends,
This week a group of 16 students from our college went to attend the management fest organized by department of commerce of management studies (DCMS) – Calicut. We started our trip on 4th February at 4:00 p.m by train. We reached there by 10 at night. The students of DCMS came to receive us. We all stayed at their Hostel. The next day fest ASCEND 13.0 started with an inaugural speech by the chief guest and the director sir of DCMS. There were various events like Best Manager, best management Team, HR game, finance game, business quiz, brand Wars, System games.
The same day it was announced in the morning that each college has to give a performance (solo and group) depicting their college culture in the evening time. The various events started as per the schedule. It was a wonderful experience for all of us. In the evening we gave a group performance describing our college culture- the rules and regulations and the various activities like IMLP, III, Personality Development courses and the other events like street play, games, etc. Our classmate Victor gave a solo performance on a famous song 'yaar meri dhadkan' by euphoria group. We won the award for the best performance in this event.
We won awards in almost all the events. In the best management team our team compromising of Anoop, purnima, naveen, keerthi grabbed the 1st prize. In the finance team mayur, mustafiz won the 2nd prize. In the HR game Sajiv, keerti, manjeet, dianna won the 1st prize. In the brand wars victor, merilyn, naveen, soumya won the 2nd prize .In the business quiz me and harikrishan won the 3rd prize. In the best manager Vivek gave a wonderful performance and came 2nd. In the system games though we didn’t won any award but it was an excellent performance by prabhjot and purnima of our class. Above all we won the prize for the Best College.
On 6th night we all came back. Our two seniors’ Sajiv sir and Dianna ma’am helped a lot in all the events we participated.It was a wonderful experience for me as it was the first time I was representing SCMS in the business quiz.Also the students of DCMS gave us a wonderful reception all throughout the fest.
