This is with response to Prasad's article on corporate social responsibility. Prasad, I have a different opinion. The ad you have mentioned is a very good ad from ‘idea’ about creating awareness among the public about the exploitation of the natural resources. It gives a very good message “save trees, trees save”. ‘Idea’ may have a profit motive in their mind but I feel there is nothing wrong in it. We are not the single player in the corporate world. There are lot of people including employees, shareholders who form a part of our business .So when there is a mutual benefit why should we discourage these types of activities? In business we should use both mind and the heart. If we use mind alone then we are selfish. If we use only our heart then we can’t survive in business. I think 'idea' has applied the concept of holistic marketing here.
