A picture which actually throws light on the present scenario, dearth of values, no sense of realization and inability to make distinctions between the right and wrong . What makes us stand out when we are in the other part of the world , that is our values , inspite of different religions spread out in our country , we don’t have a social diversity, the selflessness we show, the commonality we choose to possess are our strengths & our voice to say we are Indians, but isn’t it slowly reducing , yes, the thing which is lost unknowingly from us is this.
Indians have laid high stress on values like peaceful co-existence, spirituality, deference to elders, recourse to nature, artistic expression, seeking prosperity, strong family ties, respecting even the tools of your trade, joyousness and hospitality but now we don’t even bother to possess a single quality of those above mentioned. The common letter we use daily is “I” not us , we are becoming selfish in all aspects. This is pure contradictory to our culture we were taught to be a part of others joys & sorrows but now what do we do , who are the others , its al ‘I’, me, my family that’s it.. There comes another question were are those joint families which stood high earlier with all might, everyone wants to stay aloof from others, marriages are breaking fast , the new blooms neither know what culture is nor moral values, they grow up isolated & stressed , they are deprived of all the good things which elders had got from their grand parents, the love, touch ,care everything is beyond their imagination , they are brought up in an atmosphere where they even loose their sense of identity, they might be gaining a few, but loosing a lot .
Think of it , we could make a change, adhere & stick onto our culture, keep your bonds strong, no drifting apart of relationships anymore , accept the good things from anywhere around d world but make it a point that we don’t forget our culture , stop the creeping in of self centered culture. “A nation's culture resides in the hearts and in the soul of its people”… these are the great words of Mahatma Gandhi lets give life to the words show the whole world the richness of our culture.
