Social responsibility

Everybody today talking about social responsibility, yes only talking…..

But very few people have done something. Or even have taken initiative and I am happy that I am in that very few people.

U may think this boy is saying rubbish, but believe me I have.

I don’t know how I did it but the result was good and right now it’s benefiting lots of people.

It all starts when I was doing my graduation. As a part of my curriculum I have to do my social project. For that I have selected a community health centre in Ochira, Kollam which is near to my house. I chose that health centre only for the sack of convenience. But when I went there for my approval. The condition there was horrible.

It was an old building, which you see in the horror movies. And patients there were looking like ghost. The first thing that entre my mind was should I entre there. But due lack of option I entre with lots of courage. I meet the hospital supervisor. He was sitting in an old room with no paints, no tiles, have a single fan which is moving very slowly, Room was dusty. And horrible thing was that pigeon birds were flying above us. Along with birds there were old patients chuffing, snitching. He was shocked when I told him that I want to a project there. But after lots of thinking he approved me.

At that I was happy that I got an institution and I terrified that tomorrow again I have to come here. Next day I came with my questionnaires for patients and doctors and staff (which were written in English). Doctors and staff were ok. But it come to patients it was horrible. I was standing with my questionnaire which was written in English and their patients were who didn’t even know the meaning of the word – NAME. Like this my first day begin in making the people understand I want the sentence mean. And really it was horrible.

Same way my 1st day ends.

Want to know more wait……
