WHEN YOU ARE ALONE IN AN UNFAMILIAR PLACE......

He went to bus stop for going to his home. he was disturbed by many thoughts about his future.. his studies and his home... when a bus came, he just enter in to the bus without looking at where it is going. when he enter he realized that even though the bus is going to the same destination he wanted, the way was different. he has gone through that way only 2 or 3 times. but he was sure of where to get down. he got a seat to sit. still he was thinking about his career and ambitions. he was worried about his home. bus is going through unfamiliar places but he was not looking outside. suddenly bus came in to junction which is the joining point of three roads. he suddenly looked outside " oh my junction has came". he stepped down from the bus. as soon as the bus gone past him, he realized that he have got down at a wrong stop. he don't know that how much distance is there from the junction to his junction. he thought about waiting for another bus. he checked his purse. if he gives money for next bus then there won't be any money to travel further. he has to travel in one more bus to reach his home. time is 7 in the evening. he decides to walk to the bus stop. there was no other option. there was no ATM because that was a rural area. he started to walk. it seems there is no end to that road and the dark place was giving him extra energy to walk faster. one more junction came when he walked for sometime. that was not his junction. he was really frightened to walk further. then he thought that in life also  these phases will come. we have to face it without fear. when he walked more he was feeling that he had lost the way. he thought about asking to some people about the way but he felt ashamed in asking because it was his fault that resulted in the current position. he decided to move further because he was having some vague memories about his previous journey through the roads. when he walked further, he found a factory which made sure that he was in the right track. till the time he had covered at least two kilometers by walk. he was having different feelings of tiredness, fear, sadness and anger to himself. he wanted to cry in a big voice but the feeling of shyness about what the other people will think when he cries prevented the emotions from coming out. whenever he found out a light in his way, he thought that his junction has came but when he will realize that it is not his junction, he felt disappointed and at the same time he hoped that the next lighted place will be his junction. during his walk he saw buses going through the road. then he thought that it would have been better if he had been carrying some money in his hand. he scolded himself for not carrying any money with him. when he walked more he was having both feeling of getting lost and nearing the destination. he decided to ask to a man who was coming through the road. when he was walking through the road he noted that there was not much people on the road because it was late evening. in fact the man was the only person he met in the road. man told that it is the right way towards the junction and he will reach the junction if he walk further. he felt happy that his 'adventurous' journey is coming to an end and he also thought that the man who told the way is god himself. he was not sure what type of feeling he was going through when he reached the junction he wanted to reach. when he entered in to a bus from that junction he was thinking about the thoughts which persuaded him to step down in an unfamiliar place and he realized that he was out of his mind for a minute on that moment when he decided to step down. then he compared it with the life. the laziness of one moment can cause one person how much in life. when compared to that situations, today's incident was only a symbolic representation. due to our negative attitude towards life we found isolated in an unfamiliar junction of our life. no way to get out as there is no resources like money in this case. we won't like to ask people for help because it was our fault that leads us in to the bad situation. you don't know the route you have to travel but we will still go in a route that seems to be right for us. in this case there was previous experience. in life the experiences of the other people who suffered the same will guide us through. the way of the journey will be long, hard and frightening, you have to fight it out without falling in emotions. the most important thing you need in life is hope. in this case the hope was there to find out the junction in every lighted place. if we feel disappointed, just think that in the next lighted place there will be our junction. when you fight it through, you will see people going through smooth way. then don't say bad about those people, scold yourselves for what you have done and make sure that in the future we will be cautious in every moment. even though in the beginning you will feel that it is not good to seek anybody's help. later in your journey you have to or you will meet some people who will give you guidance which will be helpful for you to calm your self down and proceed towards your destination. after that guidance you will feel that the man who gave me guidance is the god itself because you rarely see any people in your same road with you. in the harder ways, no one will be with you, then you will want god to help you. in the initial stages god won't help you instead of that god will gave you strength to carry on towards you destination but close to the end of your journey you will see god in some way or the other guiding you and you will feel find that you saw the god at the end of your journey. this incident also reminds us that whenever you are thrown in to a difficult position, you should take it as an adventurous tour in which you enjoy the difficulties. after beating all your difficulties when you reach your destination, it is happiness that surrounds you.......

that's all from the incident which changed the way i look in to my life........................................

MFIs rule out any cut in lending rate

Inspite of the pressure from RBI, MFIs are not reducing the lending rate due to their higher operational cost of funds.  MFIs are having the high lending rate of 24% but customers are paying up to 30% because lenders take security \money, processing fee and insurance premium. RBI governor D Subbarao is happy with the ability of the  MFIs to provide door step credit policy but high rates are not acceptable to him. Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) also asked MFIs to reduce loan but MFIs like Bandhan,Basix are not accepting it . 2/3 of the operational cost is going in to paying back interest. 1/3 goes in to account of loan delivery, salary payments and all other operations to turn an operation. Bank and SIDBI charges12-14%. In the case of  MFI  20-21% loan is the operating cost and 2-4% is the margin used as a buffer stock for adjusting the interest rate fluctuations. MFIs are refusing to reduce the lending rate because they think that interest rate can be increased in the future. MFIs are small financial institutions so the transportation costs are also high. Private equity players are coming to invest in MFIs because of the handful profit they are getting and RBI is not happy with it.

COMPARATIVE ADVERTISING: IS IT REALLY COMPARING?

Our Group presented on the topic brand wars: Rin v/s  Tide. We had presented a talk show on the topic. All of the students were amazed to see the advertisement where Rin have literally attacked  the Tide naturals in every aspects such as appearance, name even the tag line also. but may I remind you friends, this is not the first time that two products are 'openly compared'. There is a lot of examples in the past like Complan -Horlicks, Audi - BMW etc... When we search for more details we found that as per ASCII laws comparing advertising is legal when it is clear what aspects of the advertiser's are being compared with that aspects of the competitors product and when the comparisons are factual, accurate and capable of substantiation. In this case when we observe closely we can see that in the bottom of the screen they have written that tested in a third party lab. But when you see the advt: you can also understand that there is only the comparison with figures, no statistical figures. We have to see the circumstances in which this ad comes out. Hindustan Unilever Limited (HUL) is desperate to downsize the competitor that is the international giant P&G because now tide has got more share than the Rin. Actually this advertisement is only a follow up of a series of incidents. At first P&G came up with an advertisement of it's new product tide naturals. They argued in the advertisement that the detergent only includes natural ingredients. HUL gave a complaint in the court against the statement of natural ingredient and extra whiteness. This controversial ad came right after the verdict of the court in favor of the HUL. Now P&G has moved in the same way and filed a case against the HUL. as a result court has banned the controversial advt: but HUL ad has attracted so much of public attention because it was launched on a weekend and they got 2 days of time to show it repeatedly. This shows the clear intention of HUL to only attract the customers towards the product. But according to the view of my group the ad concentrated more on the competitors product than on their product. In the 30 second ad 22 seconds are spend to show about the Tide natural. At the end of our group presentation the question which arises is that whether the advertising was really comparative or dominating? Answer will be different from each person. But we can conclude by saying that the comparative advertising is good only if it give some information to the people otherwise it is only a play for attraction.

LOGIC OF LOTTERY

I think you all have seen people taking lottery ticket from the dealers but do you ever thought about what is the logic in buying lotteries. we can understand a person buying lottery ticket in once a year and we can say that the person is trying his luck but what about those people who is buying frequently that is every day in a week. The large demand of lottery tickets leads to an unhealthy behavior of people for earning more and more  money in a short cut way.
In my opinion after buying every unselected lottery ticket people will think that in the next time we will get the whole amount. In a way government and other companies are encouraging the 'more money in short way' concept of the public.  Actually this concept of the public will lead to the antisocial activities because in most of the cases people went to these types of activities for getting the shortcut money.

By attracting your attention in to this topic, i would like to advise you that stay away from the easy money earning methods. Money is sweet only when there is hard work behind it but if you earn some money in the short cuts... one or the other day that money will let you down. So be truthful to our life.

MILES TO GO BEFORE I ACHIEVE......

I AM STANDING ALONE  WITH A BAG FULL OF DREAMS AND THOUGHTS....
STANDING IN ONE SIDE OF A NEVER ENDING WAY......
I HAVE A GOAL AND I HAVE A WAY.........    BUT........
MILES TO GO BEFORE I ACHIEVE .........
FUTURE IS WAITING FOR ME WITH LOT OF HURDLES......
LOT OF HURDLES AND VERY LESS HOPE....
THERE CAN BE CYCLONES WHICH FLY ME AWAY....
THERE CAN BE FLOODS WHICH COVER ME IN THE WAY....
BUT THE SMALL LITTLE HOPE WILL NOT BE DESTROYED ....
IT WILL GAIN STRENGTH FROM WINDS ......
IT WILL GAIN ENERGY FROM FLOOD...
I WILL NOT LOOSE MY DREAMS AND THOUGHTS....
I WILL HOLD IT AS STRONG AS I CAN.....
IF THERE IS A CONFUSION IN THE WAY....
A LIGHT IS THERE TO SHOW ME THE WAY...
I DON'T KNOW HOW FAR I WILL GO....
I KNOW ONLY MY GOAL AND THE WAY....
I CANNOT STOP HERE AND THERE....
BECAUSE I KNOW..........
MILES TO GO BEFORE I ACHIEVE.......

CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY (CSR) IN 2 DIFFERENT WAYS

CSR is the 3 words which is discussed by everyone in the current scenario of economic recession. Whether every firm is satisfying their CSR  is a subject for hot discussion. now we can see how firms are satisfying their CSR.We can classify CSR activities in to 2 as follows;

CSR activities not related to business

Many firms create charitable trusts for the CSR activities like schooling of poor children, building houses for the poor, care centers for the old people etc... Companies separate these activities from the business and they will not look for any monetary profit from the activities of the trust. The source of fund for these trust is the income from the business itself. For example  Ratanji Tata Trust.

CSR activities related to business

Companies do CSR activities for increasing their business. For example Idea's advertisement theme 'avoid using paper and use mobile instead of that for preserving nature. Here mobile means the mobile which is having an idea connection. By this Idea company indirectly stating that all should use Idea mobile for the nature even though it is not saying but they creating an image like that.

In my opinion the second type of CSR activity is not for the benefit of the society. In the case of the Idea advertisement they are pretending to be sending a good message but they really wanted to add some more customer for the service but in the case of first CSR activities companies are separately doing it for the benefit of the society and not in the name of a product or brand. I would like to know your opinion. What you think about the CSR activities related to the business in which the company have a profit motive rather than giving their portion of profit for the benefit of society?
